I completed my medical studies in Leiden in 2008. After having worked for several months at an Internal Medicine department, I soon started my GP specialist training. I have been working as a GP since 2011, and I first started working in several GP practices in The Hague, mainly with the practices of the Azalea group such as Loudon Medical Centre. Besides that, I'm also a Judicial Physician and I regularly worked as a GP in the penitential institutions in Scheveningen and Zoetermeer. I always enjoyed this alternation between these special environments and the daily practice.
Nevertheless, after having worked in this manner for a number of years, I'm now looking forward to having a more permanent workplace where I can get better acquainted with my patients and follow up on their process. The relationship of trust between doctor and patient is, after all, one of the most fundamental aspects in order to provide good care and to choose the right treatment together with the patient.
