I started by medical studies in Utrecht in 1991. After graduating as a general physician, I worked in the Intensive Care and Internal Medicine departments and as a forensic physician for a number of years. During that time, my interest in the profession as a general practitioner was piqued. The aspects that makes my work as a GP so enjoyable are the diversity of patients and problems you come across. Problems which you, as a GP, can often better place in the right context than when you work in a hospital.
My special interests in our practice are lung diseases, internal medicine, and dermatology, and I regularly perform minor surgical procedures.
In addition to my work at the practice, I also work as a Judicial Physician. This means that part of my work takes place in the penitential institutions (prisons).
My working hours at the practice are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
