In case of emergency

In case of a life-threatening situation: call 112

Are you or someone else in a life-threatening situation? Call 112 immediately, they are available 24/7.

The operator will tell you what to do until the ambulance arrives.

Non-life-threatening urgency

Call our center 070 - 222 30 00 on Monday to Friday from 08.00-17.00 hrs, and select option 1 (emergency)

Emergency means that your symptoms are so severe that you need immediate help.

You will first be connected with the assistant, who will ask you questions and discuss with you what is needed:

Sometimes you need to come to the GP immediately.
Sometimes the GP comes to you immediately.
Sometimes you need to go to the hospital immediately.

Emergency in the evening, night, weekend and national holidays

Outside of regular practice hours, on weekends, and on holidays, you can contact the central GP out-of-hours service in case of emergencies 070 - 346 96 69

  • Check thuisarts.nl first
  • Have the postal code and BSN of the person you are calling for at hand.
  • The GP out-of-hours service is only for emergency care that cannot wait until your own GP is available again.
  • You can only visit the GP out-of-hours service after making a telephone call. The triagist (a specially trained professional) determines the degree of urgency and the subsequent action.
    • This may be medical advice verified by a GP to help you proceed, 
    • Or an appointment at the GP out-of-hours service,
    • Or, if there is a medical necessity to do so, the GP will visit you at home.
  • All GPs from the region work together at the GP out-of-hours service.
