I have worked in the healthcare sector for more than 20 years. I started working at Loudon MC in May 2013, first as a doctor's assistant and now as a practice supporter in elderly care.
As a practice support officer, I have a coordinating, motivational, advisory, supportive, and accompanying role. I visit the elderly clients at home and evaluate their condition regularly. An important part of my work is to maintain contact with the children and informal carers of our elderly clients and, additionally, with all healthcare and welfare institutions.
Loneliness and vulnerability are unfortunately all too common. To this end, I want to establish the Friends of Loudon Medical Centre Foundation with the purpose of engaging this target group in fun activities to break the daily routine so they always have a fun day to look back on. "I want the elderly to get old happily and safely."
