App: Should I go and see a doctor?
The load of medical questions to general practices around the Netherlands is growing more and more. This causes practices to be less available, because there simply is not enough staff to answer all incoming phone calls. The same is the case for our medical centre. The waiting periods on the phone are increasing, and patients with an acute emergency are often forced to wait long periods of time on the phone. However, some medical questions can be handled with selfcare-advice, so that you are not required to contact your GP.
On the website Should I Go To The Doctor, you can see if it is necessary for you to call your practice. This is done by filling out a few questions. The website also contains a lot of information and advice about diseases and other medical complaints.
Will you help us shorten the waiting periods on the phone?
